I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

I absolutely love Christmas time.  I love the smells, the music, the decorations and all the sparkle.  While my mom was down visiting this past weekend I put her to work helping me decorate the house.  We put up the tree, decorated the fireplace and stair railing.  I still have some more to do but we got a really good start.

Enough purple? Nah, I think we need lots more!

New Seating

I finally with the help of my mom found seating for our living room.  I'm so excited for them to be delivered.  I am in love with the silver nailheads and the material is so soft.  We bought these without consent from my husband but I'm positive he is going to love them too.  Not only do they look fabulous but they are super comfy.

I may steal this

I found these images on one of my favorite blogs, by Amy Atlas.  I was surprised to read on and see that it was not one of her tables, this table was done by Ester Kim of My bride story blog.

This is a very posh and classy take on the usual fruit and veggie tray.  Love the colors and the food looks ridic!

Vegas Vacation

I LOVE ALL THINGS VEGAS.  It is Disney for Adults.  I knew this was going to be an absolutely great trip when we walked into our hotel, Aria and Jackson 5 was playing throughout.  We had no plans for our trip except to relax, eat some fabulous meals and try to win some money.  We FAILED at the winning money part.  Everything else was FAB.  Our hotel truly exceeded our expectations.  I've been known to have become a hotel snob, especially when visiting Vegas.  I believe this was my fifth trip so I've stayed in some pretty nice hotels there.  Aria smells like candy, mostly because of the Jean Philippe Patisserie located right next to the guest room elevators.  Our guest room was great, we didn't have the best view but the bed was like sleeping on a cloud.  Everything in the room was operated by a remote which is kind of cool but I had no idea how to use the thing.  During our stay we ate some pretty amazing meals, the restaurants included Maragaritaville (cheeseburger in paradise is paradise after way too many drinks), Bobby Flay's Mesa, Emeril's Delmonico, Tod English's PUB, Wolfgang Puck's Pizzeria and Cucina (thanks for the recommendation Dad) and we had breakfast at The Buffet in the Wynn which was truly extraordinary. Ever have dessert after breakfast?  Well, this place had the most amazing dessert bar, and we definitely indulged in some candy apples and cupcakes.  I think my husband and I agreed that we loved Todd English's PUB the best.  42 beers on tap.  If you drink your beer in seven seconds or less it's on the house. After being a little nervous John accepted and completed the challenge. Job Well Done!  If you shoot and make the hoop on one of the nerf basketball hoops you get a free shot of your choice.  I also spotted a gum ball machine filled with beerpongs, so I asked the bartender about it.  She said if you get a game together, they'll move the tables and provide the cups.  Great place to take a bachelor party for lunch.  The food was to die for, we had the lobster rolls and the roast beef sliders.  GO There, it's good, I promise.  Thanks to this trip I'll be starving myself all week so I can think about eating on Thanksgiving.

There are so many shows to see when you're in Vegas.  When in doubt on what to see ask a few cab drivers, they seem to know all the reviews.  We saw not one but two Circe du Soliels during our stay.  My husband chose to see Believe which is Chris Angel's Magic show and it was very entertaining.  I chose LOVE, the Circe inspired by the Beatles.  I would recommend it to anyone I know and I would see it ten more times.  There are no words to describe how much I loved this show.  For the first night we bought tickets at the Concierge desk.  For LOVE we decided to check out "Tix 4 Tonight".  We got our tickets there for 40% off.  I highly recommend waiting in line.  Its worth it, our seats were second row.  Especially if you are there during the week.  If you have your heart set on a show then buy ahead.

While we were there all I could think about was when can I come back?

Happy Anniversary!

The past year has been the best year of my life so far.  I married my best friend, who could really ask for anything more than that?  I couldn't be more blessed.  I'd like to share my favorite pictures from the Best Day Ever.  (in no particular order)

I'm looking forward to our future.  I Love you!
